Leatherdale Farms’ 7-year-old Hanoverian mare Duett (Damsey FRH x Helena 209) stepped into the International Ring for the first time during AGDF Week 10 — rising to the occasion with a 6th place finish in the Future Challenge FEI Prix St. Georges.

Ridden by Vanessa Creech-Terauds, the pair earned a 66.529% against a competitive field of 14 entries, standing out as one of the youngest combinations in the class, with only one other 7-year-old competing.

A strong debut at this level for a talented young mare 👏

Season-High Score for Helmi 👏

Vanessa Creech-Terauds and Helmi, a 2011 Hanoverian mare, scored a season-best in their FEI Prix St Georges test, posting a 67.500%. The duo also earned a second-place finish with a score of 66.912% in their FEI Intermediate I test!

In the FEI Preliminary Test for 7-Year-Old Horses Final, Leatherdale Farms’ Hanoverian mare Duett (Damsey FRH x Helena 209) posted a season-high score of 73.657%, taking first place with Vanessa Creech-Terauds during ADGF week 7!

The duo also earned another first-place finish with a score of 69.765% earlier in the week 👏

Introducing The Dressage Foundation's new Leatherdale Fund for Trainers of Young Horses.

Beginning in 2026, the Leatherdale Fund for Trainers of Young Horses will provide financial support for high-quality group educational opportunities such as clinics and symposia for trainers of young dressage horses in the United States.

The objectives of the educational programs should be to promote correct foundational training and long-term, sound development of young horses ages 3-5. The maximum amount of a grant from the Leatherdale Fund will be $10,000 and applications are due at least 75 days prior to the event.

The Dressage Foundation (TDF) is honored to announce the creation of its new Leatherdale Fund for Trainers of Young Horses, established by a gift from Louise Leatherdale. She and her late husband, Doug Leatherdale, were the founders of Leatherdale Farms (MN). The Leatherdale name is highly regarded....

What a debut for Daniela at the Danish Christmas Show in Aarhus ✨

Making her first international appearance in a Grand Prix 4* freestyle, Daniela embraced the festive atmosphere of a packed, Christmas-decorated arena—and even stepped into the spotlight performing the freestyle previously performed by her sire, Damsey.

The result? Over 74% overall (including an impressive 79%+ in the B score) and a third-place finish. A standout performance from this young Grand Prix mare and an exciting milestone in her journey.

First international Special for Daniela and Helen Langehanenberg ✨

Daniela, bred and owned by Louise Leatherdale, competed in her first Grand Prix Special at the 2025 CDI Troisdorf in Germany.

“There were already so many truly outstanding moments in both tests at CDI Troisdorf,” said Langehanenberg. “That gives me hope for the future.”
