Lots of fun in Sanford, NC!

This year and into 2025, I’m teaching all the business owners in 72 North Carolina Main Street downtown districts how to become Destination Businesses and while driving from one location to speak at the next, my rental car lost its brakes. I coasted off the road and while waiting for our ride, Rich Carraro (another presenter who was traveling with me), snapped this photo of me waiting and he went back and turned it into a poster of our 8-city tour. Here's our first 2023 Destination BootCamp class in Golden, Colorado: In this class are 34 independent business owners and community leaders from Texas, Oregon, Kansas, Colorado, Arizona, Missouri, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Virginia, California, Minnesota, and Tennessee, along with the Province of Alberta, Canada. Look close to find the baby exotic animal that attended, too.
This was one of my most impressive classes. I've been teaching the Destination BootCamp since 2002 and in this group we have hundreds of years of collective knowledge, hundreds of millions of dollars of sales volume generated by their businesses, but most importantly, an amazing, sharing, loving group of super-smart people from entirely different industries who have learned from me and each other for 3 days.
I always feel honored that a group of such accomplished, successful people who are leaders in their fields trust me to take them through my Destination Business process that is totally unfamiliar to them. During the BootCamp, each one has to listen, question, share, and most importantly, put aside what they're absolutely certain that works, in order to learn an entirely new business strategy that happens to work more powerfully. It's a humbling process for them, putting all your knowledge on the side burner for 3-days and then, incorporating new tools into your already profitable business model.
When we take this photo, it's the last day, 60 minutes before the end, and I'm fried, they're fried, but it's the one time I get to see everyone as a team. I tell you: This class I'll NEVER forget!
We're already planning another Destination BootCamp (DestinationBootCamp.com) for later in the year. It's just so powerful. It's just so invigorating, and it's just too much fun to only have once a year!
