Winter Weather Service Delay
For the week beginning February 2nd,

Due to the current winter weather conditions and for the safety of our drivers and the community, all trash pickups will be delayed by one day for the remainder of this week.

Updated Schedule:
Normal Monday pickups will occur on Tuesday

Normal Tuesday pickups will occur on Wednesday

Normal Wednesday pickups will occur on Thursday

Normal Thursday pickups will occur on Friday

Normal Friday pickups will occur on Saturday

Please ensure your bins are accessible so our team can service them safely. We plan to return to our regular schedule next week.

CHRISTMAS SCHEDULE UPDATE.
There will be a one day delay for our Thursday and Friday routes this week due to the Christmas Holiday. Thursday routes will be collected on Friday and Friday routes will be collected on Saturday. We hope everyone has a blessed holiday season! Merry Christmas!

🦃 Quick heads up about Thanksgiving week! 🗑️

All routes will be running as normal. We will NOT be changing our trash pickup schedule for the week of Thanksgiving.

That means you can set your bins out just like you always do. No need to worry about holiday shifts!

Important Service Update Regarding Hurricane Season

As we approach the start of hurricane season, we want to take a moment to communicate our plans and potential service impacts. Our primary goal is to ensure the safety of our team members while continuing to provide the most reliable service possible to our communities.

The severe weather, including heavy rains and flooding that often accompany hurricanes, can create significant challenges. We want to be upfront about the possibility of service delays. Road closures due to high water may make it impossible for our trucks to reach certain communities or neighborhoods. Furthermore, local landfills may temporarily close or restrict access, which could prevent our trucks from offloading waste even if they are able to complete their routes.

For many of you that are new to the area, our rivers and swamps are currently full and the ground is completely saturated. The impacts of even a small hurricane at this point will result in dangerous levels of flooding. If we do receive a storm within the next few weeks, road closures will most likely include: Highway 905 to Conway, Highway 905 to Longs, Highway 9 to Little River, and Highway 22 to Myrtle and North Myrtle Beach.

Please understand that any service interruptions would be a direct result of these unavoidable circumstances. Our team will be working diligently to monitor conditions and will resume normal service as soon as it is safe and possible to do so. We are committed to minimizing delays and appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. If and when we are unable to make it to your home we will collect the extra waste when it is safe to do so.

We encourage you to follow local weather updates closely. We will also do our best to provide timely notifications through our website and social media channels if service is expected to be impacted in your area. Please take the time to plan ahead for these events.

ADDITIONAL SERVICE DELAY.
The Horry County Solid Waste Authority has just announced they will be closed Thursday due to the hazardous conditions. They may be closed Friday as well but will not announce further updates until tomorrow. We hope to resume operations on friday but will give another update tomorrow with route changes. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Schedule Delay Due to Impending Winter Weather.
The Horry County Solid Waste Authority has just announced they will be closed Wednesday due to the impending winter weather scheduled to begin this afternoon. Due to this all remaining routes this week will be delayed one day. Thank you for your patience and understanding. We hope everyone stays safe and warm during this time.

January 21, 2025 - Due to impending winter weather conditions, all Horry County Solid Waste Authority facilities, as listed below, will be closed on Wednesday, January 22, 2025:

• All Landfill Operations
• All Horry County Recycling Convenience Centers
• Material Recycling Facility
• Household Hazardous Waste Facility
• Administrative Office

Operating schedule for Thursday, January 23, 2025, will be dependent upon weather conditions. Any changes to Thursday, January 23, 2025, operating schedule will be announced on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
