Texas Tomcats The Texas Tomcats is an official Red Bull Flugtag team. Based out of Longview, Texas, the group is comprised of LeTourneau University flight students.

Notorious Nate & The Texas Tomcats is an official Red Bull Flugtag team. What is Flugtag? Well, Flugtag (German: flight day, airshow) is an event organized by Red Bull in which competitors attempt to fly home-made, size- and weight-limited, human-powered flying machines. The flying machines are usually launched off a pier about 30 feet high into the sea, lake, or river. Most competitors enter for

the entertainment value, and the flying machines rarely fly at all. Notorious Nate & The Texas Tomcats seeks to create a glider that will not only fly, but will resemble the one and only F-14 Tomcat, the very same aircraft featured in the 1986 hit movie TOP GUN. Not only that, but we plan to put on a top-notch show that incorporates the most hilarious elements from TOP GUN and its subsequent parody, HOT SHOTS! We don't want to reveal all our secrets yet, so watch or attend DFW Flugtag 2013 to check us out.
