Whitestone Reclamation District Whitestone Reclamation District (WRD) provides irrigation water to 3,009 acres in the Loomis and Whitestone areas of Washington State.

Whitestone Reclamation District was incorporated in 1919 to provide irrigation water to area farmers. The source of our water is a diversion dam on Toats Coulee Creek, a year-round creek located in the mountains near Loomis, WA. Spectacle Lake is the reservoir for the majority of our irrigation.

Last month the majority of residents of Spectacle Lake had the water in front of their property treated for the ever invasive Eurasian milfoil and other non-native vegetation by Lakeland Restoration Services, Inc. Attached are photos showing the Eurasian milfoil and curly-leaf pondweed plus a photo showing the Eurasian milfoil infestation prior to the treatment. Most residents report a vast reduction of the milfoil in front of their property. Spectacle Lake Association is looking for donations to help with future maintenance control of the milfoil.

It's that time of the year-the draw down on Spectacle Lake has started. Currently the lake is down a little over a foot. We have an average amount of water supply for this time of year.

It's summer and it's hot! If you have an irrigation emergency, call the office phone number. Emergency contact numbers are on the answering machine. During weather like today, we are glad our business is water :)
