Can't believe we missed that putt for par 😓
On the bright side, I had such a great time earlier this week participating in a charity golf tournament raising funds to support a foundation centered on introducing and elevating more latinos in the sport of golf.
I was invited by Philip Gallegos, Co-Founder of the The Upside of Down Foundation, a nonprofit who's mission is to bring awareness to down syndrome. Phil and his wife Ramona, started the organization to support parents who are going through the same struggles they went through with their son Zachary, who is an absolute stud.
Over the past month, I've been blessed to be able to guide them on fundraising and marketing strategies in their endeavor to be a helpful hand to families who are faced with the struggles of having a child with down syndrome. After a few strategy sessions, they are now focused on creating their own resource center that they wish they had when Zach was born, to be a connector for families seeking services/support, and create a safe place for both parents and children going through this experience.
This is just the start of an amazing journey together, and all glory to God that we were brought together.
