A lot of personal life has happened over this past year.

Our team has experienced many ups and downs which we have celebrated and consoled each other through.

This decision was a hard one, but we have decided to take a 1 year sabbatical and allow ourselves some healing time before continuing our marketing consulting work.

We understand it is a rare and possibly unpopular choice, but we believe it is the right one. We thank you for your engagement and support.

Work takes up a lot of time in our daily lives. Some of us work more than 6, 8, 10, 12+ hours a day consistently. And when you don’t take time for yourself, this can lead to burnout amongst other things.

Next thing you know, you’re standing in the center of your living room, spaced out, and 3 seconds away from a full breakdown because life is happening to you and not with you.

We all only have one life and letting work and other life happenings affect us and keep a hold on us is sure fire recipe to make it miserable.

Your work shouldn’t make you feel miserable.

Your work shouldn’t have you fantasizing of escape.

Your work shouldn’t be the reason you’re reaching for more substances.

Your work shouldn’t leave you feeling empty.

The next dollar you earn shouldn’t have you feeling any of these ways and if it does, it’s time to go to the drawing board to see what YOU really want.

Your self care is just that, yours. And in order for you to figure out what really makes you feel good, you have to try different things out.

❌ Being overwhelmed or burned out does not look the same for everyone. Here are some ways you can help manage your feelings, get your work done, and not feel absolutely drained when you’re done.

👉🏾 Schedule your day.
Time blocking should be your best friend when it comes to getting work done. We like to schedule our work at the beginning of the week, on Sunday or Monday, and keep up with our schedule. Bonus tip - it’s easier to do this once you’ve written out everything that needs to be done for the day first.

👉🏾 Schedule breaks. Don’t let breaks be few and far between. Personally, we work in 50-90 minute increments and schedule 15 minute breaks in between. And longer ones if we need it. Your brain needs a break! The work will be fine.

👉🏾 Set deadlines.
You don’t want your work floating around all incomplete in Asana, Trello, ClickUp, etc. It can absolutely ✨wreck✨ your nerves, so set realistic due dates so the assignments can be done!
