Dr. James H. Tabibian, MD, PhD, FACP, FASGE, FACG, AGAF is an Interventional Endoscopist and Medical Director of the Advanced Gastroenterology (GI) Center at Adventist Health Glendale. Prior to joining Adventist Health, he was a Health Sciences Clinical Professor in the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and Director of Endoscopy at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center.
Dr. Tabibian completed his training at leading institutions around the country, including Johns Hopkins, Mayo Clinic, and the University of Pennsylvania and has expertise in multiple aspects of GI, endoscopy, liver disease, and biotechnology, as evidenced by his 200+ published articles in the US National Library of Medicine's archive, as seen here https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/?term=Tabibian+J&sort=date. He is the author of 2023 book “Digestive Problems Solved: A Patient's Guide to Expert Insights and Solutions”, served as the inaugural volume Editor for the book “Diagnosis and Management of Cholangiocarcinoma: A Multidisciplinary Approach”, and is an invited contributor to various scientific meetings and media outlets. He is an established expert consultant for advisor networks around the world, a member of member and honorary fellow of several national professional societies, and a certified reviewer in Gastroenterology for the Medical Board of California.
Dr. Tabibian maintains his clinical practice and expertise in endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), and luminal stenting, among other advanced endoscopic procedures. He also remains involved in advancing the education of and mentoring medical students and residents.
