SIPC insurance can save you hundreds of THOUSANDS of dollars!! Have you checked whether your broker is SIPC insured? 🧐

It might be tempting to go ahead and open a new brokerage account with the broker who gives 2 free stocks… but ALWAYS make sure you check whether the brokerage is SIPC insured 🔑

Note that SIPC is different than FDIC insurance... 👀 Also important to realize that crypto is NOT SIPC insured 🥺

Why? Well, TIPS stands for treasury inflation-protected securities and they adjust in value relative to US inflation levels.

✨Term of the day: Penny Stock ✨

If you’re ever watched Wolf of Wall Street or got lost in the world of finance tiktok/IG, you definitely know what I’m talking about here.

Many of these “financial gurus” recommend penny stocks online and it makes me crazy 😤😤 Penny stocks are SO risky and offer very low liquidity. New investors are crowding in to these stocks and loosing everything 🥺

I’ve personally bought a bunch of penny stocks only to see them crash down to zero 😂 Sure, the upside potential could be greater... but I’m too risk averse to gamble with these over the counter stonks 🤡
