BEFORE AND AFTER: Who needs a dining room when you could have a dining-library-bar? We conceptualized this space by getting to know our client’s lifestyle and listening to her dream of having a room that would facilitate all her favorite activities: book club, game night, and happy hour. What used to be a tired TV den with a laundry room in it became a space for less utilitarian and more fulfilling activities. Lifestyle change granted. Swipe to see the before.

We never tell a child their room is too much. So why do we say it to ourselves? Somewhere along the way, adults started playing it safe and choosing the version of beautiful they think they’re supposed to want, instead of the one that actually makes them feel alive.

At Sagrada, we give our clients the same permission they give their kids: To want what they actually want and to go there. We want them to build a home that is so authentically them, that walking in feels like the best memory they ever had. What if you stopped editing yourself out of your own home?

Construction has wrapped and we’re prepping for the last layer at our Woodstock vacation home project. We’ve resolved all the little details, and the final install is what makes 18 months of decisions click into place for our clients.

The bathroom in the ADU of our Cheviot Hills project came together around the Hollyhocks wallpaper that our client loved. We debated on a couple of different colorways but in the end we went with “Spring.” Some people may have gone more neutral on the tile to let the wallpaper be the star, but we didn’t really overthink that part. Instead we just leaned in to the vibrancy and chose burgundy and red penny rounds and field tiles for the floors and shower. It’s a bathroom meant to surprise and delight you every single time you walk in.

Before and after: our Chelsea restaurant project in Santa Monica. It took real imagination to see the possibility in a space like what we started with, and a client who trusted the process.

Outdoor entertaining season is here. This oasis at our Cheviot Hills project is full of personality and has already been put to use many times since its completion. Instead of neutrals we went with bold tile combinations and materials to evoke a far-flung feel to each zone.
