Start with empathy and then add in a dash of sunshine.

Talking baseball for a quick minute, I am a lifelong Yankees fan. After last night's game, I now have a second favorite team and a new favorite player.

In case you missed it, Tommy Pham of the Diamondbacks got a hit in all 4 of his at-bats.

What makes this so remarkable?

No one has ever gone 5 for 5 in the World Series. And yet, he chose to give his 5th opportunity to his teammate, Jace Peterson. A great player, who might not have otherwise gotten an opportunity to play in the World Series.

Recognizing the contributions and sacrifices Peterson had made, Pham wanted to make sure he got time to enjoy some of the spotlight.

Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo spoke vividly about veteran Tommy Pham offering to give up his final at-bat in Game 2 of the World Series on Saturday in order for teammate Jace Peterson to get a turn at the plate during Arizona's victory.

Digital Disruption:
Continuing our discussion on the necessity to adopt a decisive and agile mindset, I take a closer look at Artificial Intelligence and the impact it's having on Hollywood.

AI has been a hot topic in recent years and has many applications in the entertainment industry. One such application uses AI algorithms to analyze vast amounts of data on audience preferences, viewing habits, and more.

Another way in which AI is being used in the entertainment industry is in the production of content itself. AI algorithms can also be used to analyze footage and edit content, reducing post-production time and costs.

While some in Hollywood may view AI as a threat to the creative process, others see it as an opportunity. AI can help to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and identify new trends and opportunities that might not otherwise be visible. For example, Warner Bros recently launched a project called ScriptBook, which uses AI to analyze movie scripts and predict how successful they are likely to be at the box office.

Despite the potential benefits of AI in the entertainment industry, there are also some concerns. The use of AI raises questions about job displacement and the role of human creativity in the industry. While AI algorithms may be able to analyze data and identify trends, they can't replace the human touch that makes movies and TV shows truly great. Additionally, there are concerns about bias in AI algorithms, which could lead to representation issues in the content that is produced.

So, is AI the next hurriquake to disrupt the entertainment industry? The answer is both yes and no. While AI is likely to have a significant impact on the industry, especially in areas such as content analysis and production, it is unlikely to completely replace human creativity and innovation. Ultimately, the entertainment industry must strike a balance between leveraging AI and preserving the unique and irreplaceable human touch that sets it apart.

However, as I look around, far too many individuals and organizations suffer from an inability to make even the simplest of decisions.
