While I was in graduate school studying Psychology, I was also in required 28 sessions of personal therapy.
I learned a lot from my program, but I learned the most from my trauma therapists.
Two different therapists in particular pointed out the same thing.
They noticed how “in my head” I was, constantly.
How I intellectualized my emotions.
How I didn’t know the difference between intuition and fear.
How I trusted my head more than my gut.
And they noticed how quickly I ran away from the feeling of rejection instead of allowing myself to feel it.
They introduced me to a totally different way of living life, and even after our work together concluded I continued to study Somatic work, nervous system work, Detachment, inner child work —
And most of all, I kept practicing what it FELT like to feel safe inside my own body.
I love teaching women how to find freedom from all that mental chatter, self hate and self protection, so they can actually ENJOY life, live in their bodies and not overthink anything (including dating).
