When I first started quilting, I remember feeling a little overwhelmed by where to begin. I wanted to learn the fundamentals, but I was also drawn to modern quilts and wanted to create something that felt like me.

When I designed Gridline, I wanted to make the pattern I wish I had when I was starting out…a beginner-friendly project that teaches the basics, while still feeling fun and modern.

It feels a little full circle…6 years ago I didn’t know where to start in my quilting journey, and now I’m sharing my first quilt pattern with you!

💫 True North is here…meet Polaris!

Named after the North Star, Polaris has guided travelers for centuries. It was the first quilt I designed for this collection and became the guiding design for everything that followed (and my favorite, but don't tell the others!).

This entire collection was inspired by the classic Sawtooth Star block, which has become my own "North Star" of quilting…a timeless block I return to again and again.

Featuring Pure Solids in Cinnamon (a color that's quickly becoming a personal favorite). 🌙

The design is constructed from what I've been calling HSRTs (think an HRT with an HST tucked into the corner) along with Sawtooth Stars, creating a modern quilt design rooted in a classic block.

3 months later and I’ve finished knitting my (pattern by ) 🧶 This is my favorite knit yet…slightly oversized and this yarn is everything I had hoped for and more ✨ It’s Madara in Sake!
