To all our friends, followers, and customers,
This goes against everything I know about business, but I can’t be quiet anymore.
Facebook has taken down my personal account and our business accounts because my kids used my telephone number to sign up for Oculus/Meta. Facebook sent me instructions and asked me to set up limitations and parental controls for them. Unfortunately, that device gives me headaches, and I wasn’t able to complete everything within the time they gave me.
As a result, Facebook has now taken away my personal Facebook account, my personal Instagram, and our business Instagram as well.
Our business website is still available:
www.martinirondesign.com
We also had a couple of children’s books that we created during the COVID period:
www.incredichef.com
We will not be creating any new books, but I’m grateful for everyone who supported those projects.
At this point, I have decided that I am quitting Facebook for my business. I may eventually create another personal account simply to buy and sell things, but I will no longer depend on Facebook or Instagram for our business.
Thank you to everyone who has sent messages, birthday wishes, and kind words. I honestly didn’t use these accounts very much until I needed them, and it has been extremely frustrating to lose everything because of something involving my kids’ Oculus account.
We will no longer be posting on Instagram. For now, these accounts will remain up as long as Facebook allows them to.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years.
And yes… I truly hate Facebook right now. 😡
