“I am a Nigerian, Los Angeles based, portrait photographer with an eye for capturing genuine expression, inner strength and complete confidence with each client. I am passionately committed to providing more than just quality photographs, but quality time spent, celebrating your personality, cultivating your confidence and creating timeless portraits in the process.

I picked up my first camera in November of 2013 and started shooting in product photography for a clutch purse line I designed, created and sold. But it was at a young child, that my father unknowingly introduced me to his love for documenting our lives as a family. His (now vintage) Canon EOS Rebel 35mm Film Camera sits on my editing desk. In just a few short months, by February of 2014, I was taking classes and had fallen in love with portrait photography! Since then, I have not looked back.

I believe God has gifted me with an ability to draw out the most vulnerable parts of a person to show them the knowledge that there is strength and beauty in vulnerability. Each session is uniquely designed for my client. I set the tone with music, create an atmosphere of laughter and work hands on - often times stepping into the frame with you, helping you get a better understanding of what I am looking for through the lens.

Aside from my love for portrait photography, I enjoy celebrating life and meeting new personalities, but you can also find me curled up with a book (though I can never seem to finish one). I grew up in the Los Angeles area but have collected a few stamps from a few corners of the world. I can never say no to a salted caramel macaron and I will always love a good 80s sing-along.”

: Maria P. Williams, film producer, writer (1866-1932)

Williams is known as the first Black female film producer in the United States, and had worked as secretary and treasurer of the Western Film Producing Company (the company that distributed her first film and of which her husband was president). The company allowed for them to have control over the distribution of films, in a predominantly white industry.

Williams wrote, directed, produced, and acted in the 1923 film Flames of Wrath, in the silent film era. Prior to filmmaking, Williams was an activist and author, writing a book in 1916 on her activism entitled My Work and Public Sentiment. On the book’s first page she writes that 10 percent “of all money received from the sale of this book will go to create a fund to be used for the suppression of crime among Negros.”

“It’s such a blessing to be apart of someone’s story! If I’m not preserving memories for a family, I’m creating a safe space for one to be free and scene and portray it into a visual. If I’m not capturing the love forever at someone’s wedding day, I’m creating something with purpose and images to stir the brain. “I'm a photographer, nerd, and comic book lover. Originally a graphic designer, I was always interested in art, drawing, and computers. I wanted to put my own creative mark into my work using Photoshop, my skills, and technical knowledge to bring out more clarity, details, and expressions.
Started taking photos at anime conventions, where I met and worked with a lot of great people. I learned to adjust my shooting style, studied other photographers' work, and tried to incorporate certain styles or looks that caught my creative eye. I fell into my own style, my own way of shooting, and my own way of delivering what the client wants. Photography is a fun, creative, all-inclusive affair that I am passionate about sharing. I enjoy having fun and collaborating during photo shoots and guarantee you will enjoy every moment, too.
