Kamehouse Foods We like turtles. We live in a house full of turtles. Therefore, Kamehouse Foods. Combined with his love for turtles, the Kamehouse brand was born.

Master Yos is a Nisei (Japanese-American) chef that has been practicing Japanese culinary arts for several decades in Los Angeles, California. His Mama was born and raised in Kyoto, Japan, and immigrated to the United States in the late 1970s where she has been serving the community as a chef with her catering endeavors. Noticing the popularity of Teriyaki in the US, Mama had whipped up her own special concoction where the savory protein accentuation had deeply planted in Master Yos's young palate for life. After graduating apprenticeship under a master chef from Japan at a very early age and serving several decades in the Japanese culinary business in LA and Tokyo, Master Yos yearned to bring that nostalgic recipe that he had experienced in his childhood back to his customers. Over the years he refined the heck outta the sauce, to a point where the balance of the garlic kick and homebrew sweetness was just too good to keep it a secret from the world.
