August is Gastroparesis Awareness Month, and this cause is deeply personal to me.
While this is a slight departure from our usual travel posts (and Scott’s Selfie Sundays!), I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and share why this month means so much to me.
Hi, I’m Helena, and I live with gastroparesis, which is a chronic condition that affects how the stomach empties food. Living with this illness has given me a deep appreciation for every opportunity to connect with others, celebrate meaningful moments, and create memorable travel experiences.
I’m incredibly grateful to be part of the Fab Family, where I get to do exactly that every day.
Throughout August, Fab is proud to support Gastroparesis Awareness Month by donating 20% of new hotel sourcing actualized commission booked during the month of August (up to $500) to the G-PACT (Gastroparesis Patient Association for Cures and Treatments).
If you’re unfamiliar with hotel sourcing, we help organizations secure hotel contracts and negotiate the best available rates for their meetings and incentive programs at no additional cost to you. A portion of the commissions we earn from qualifying new projects in August will be donated to G-PACT, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting those affected by gastroparesis and other digestive motility disorders.
Whether you book a project with us, share this post, or simply take a moment to learn about gastroparesis, you’re helping raise awareness for a condition that impacts so many people yet remains widely misunderstood.
To get started with securing your hotel block, feel free to send us a direct message. To learn more about the G-PACT and gastroparesis, please go to www.g-pact.org or G-PACT
Thank you for being part of our community and for supporting a cause that means so much to me. 💚
