Back to school is almost here! 🎒✏️

As summer schedules wind down, getting back into a consistent sleep routine can make those early school mornings—and busy school days—a little easier. 🌙

Start about one week before school by gradually shifting bedtime earlier, keeping wake-up times consistent, and creating a predictable, calming evening routine.

Remember: bedtime isn’t just about sleep. Predictable routines can help children feel safe, regulated, and ready for what comes next. 💛

Small changes now can support smoother mornings, better attention, improved regulation, and a more successful transition back into the classroom.

✨ At 3½ years old, development is about so much more than letters and numbers.

Children this age are learning to communicate, solve problems, play with others, regulate emotions, and stay engaged—all through everyday interactions and play.

One question we often ask parents is:
Who is doing most of the work during play?

If you're constantly leading, try the Pause. Wait. Watch. Follow. approach. Giving your child a little more space to initiate, think, and communicate helps build confidence, independence, and lifelong learning skills.

Every child develops at their own pace, but understanding age-appropriate milestones can help you better support their growth.

At Child Success Center, we're here to help children—and the adults who love them—build strong foundations for learning, play, and life. 💙

✨ School is one of the most important places for children to learn, grow, and build confidence—and occupational therapists can help make that experience even more successful.

OT isn't just about handwriting or fine motor skills. It's about helping children participate fully in their everyday lives by supporting attention, self-regulation, sensory processing, motor skills, executive functioning, and independence.

When occupational therapists partner with teachers, small changes in the classroom can make a big difference for a child's ability to learn, engage, and thrive.

And while school-based OT helps children apply skills in their natural environment, clinic-based OT can build the foundational sensory, motor, and regulation skills that make classroom success possible. Often, the best outcomes come when families, teachers, and therapists work together as one team.

At Child Success Center, we're proud to collaborate with schools and families to help every child reach their fullest potential. 💙

The first words are exciting—but communication begins long before a child starts talking.

Eye contact, babbling, pointing, play, understanding language, and responding to others are all important milestones during the first 16 months of life.

While every child develops at their own pace, recognizing early signs of a delay can lead to earlier support—and the earlier we intervene, the greater the opportunity to build strong communication, learning, and social-emotional skills.

At Child Success Center, we take a whole-child approach by looking beyond speech alone. Our interdisciplinary team supports communication through speech therapy, occupational therapy, feeding therapy, sensory integration, and parent coaching to help every child reach their full potential.

If you have concerns about your child's development, trust your instincts. You don't have to wait to ask questions.

Today, on Autistic Pride Day, we celebrate the unique strengths, perspectives, and potential of autistic children. 💙

Every child experiences the world in their own way, and every child deserves understanding, support, and opportunities to thrive. Through play, connection, and individualized care, we help children build confidence, communication skills, emotional regulation, and meaningful relationships.

At Child Success Center, we are proud to support autistic children and their families with a collaborative team of Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Behavior Therapists, and educators who focus on the whole child.

Let's continue to foster acceptance, celebrate neurodiversity, and recognize that differences are strengths.

☀️ Why Keep Up with Speech Therapy This Summer?

Summer is a time for fun, flexibility, and making memories—but it doesn’t have to mean putting your child’s progress on pause.

Consistent speech therapy helps children maintain the skills they’ve worked so hard to build, prevent regression, and continue gaining confidence in their communication. Even with vacations, camps, and changing routines, staying connected with your therapist can make a big difference.

✨ Benefits of continuing therapy this summer:
• Prevent loss of hard-earned skills
• Build on the progress already made
• Maintain a strong connection with your therapist
• Keep your preferred therapy time slot
• Enjoy flexible scheduling options, including teletherapy

Summer therapy often feels more relaxed, playful, and engaging—giving children the opportunity to practice communication skills in meaningful, real-life situations.

🌟 More time. More fun. More opportunities for growth.

School may be ending, but growth doesn’t stop there ☀️💛

Summer can be one of the BEST times to support your child’s development. Without the stress of homework and busy school schedules, children are often more regulated, more confident, and more available for learning, connection, and growth.

At Child Success Center, we believe behavior is communication — and our goal is to help children build the foundations they need for confidence, regulation, communication, and lifelong success.

If your child is struggling with attention, emotional regulation, coordination, speech, sensory processing, confidence, or social skills, summer support can make a meaningful difference.

✏️ Core stability & posture
✏️ Visual tracking
✏️ Coordination & attention
✏️ Confidence in the classroom

Perfect for children entering kindergarten who may avoid writing, tire easily at the table, or need extra support building confidence and foundational skills before school starts. 🌟

Knowledge is power. Play is the pathway.
