Billing Update

To our valued customers,

We have all experienced the changes that the current economic climate has placed upon us all. Not only personally but business-wise as well, with added inflation, regulations, daily living wages and expenses, we have not only had to adjust our personal lives, but changes in costs to operate the business are necessary. We have dramatically found ourselves behind the cost curve and cannot continue to operate at the current pricing.

During the last 2 years we have seen liability insurance increases over 70%.

Vehicle insurance has increased an outrageous 230% from $13,000 last year to close to $30,000 this year.

Workers comp insurance has increased by some $2,000.

California continues to raise the minimum wage which requires increases to our employee's compensation. *Minimum wage employees (armed and trained) cannot do the security tasks at a level of safety needed, to provide the adequate protection to our community.

And as always, the ever increasing cost of fuel and vehicle maintenance which has drastically increased over the last 4 years and although we have a hybrid green vehicle fleet, we still find our company paying more for the same patrol area covered, compared to the this time last year.

We are finding it harder and harder at present, to remain in a patrol operation capacity and are doing everything we can to give the best of - security, - response and - patrol services available.
But due to these added economic challenges we have but no alternative, outside of a price increase to the rates we are currently charging.

Last year, in the hope that would allow us to finally break even on patrol service an increase was implemented. However, with the added costs and economic state of California and our country, (as listed above) this has not been the case and have found ourselves in a losing situation which cannot continue at the present rate. We have done pricing checks with many of the security patrol companies in the area and have found that pricing in some cases have increases as much as 300% with patrol services starting at $300 per month. - Please check around to ensure those costs.

We deeply regret and know it will be harder for some to make the increased payments. However, for our patrol operation to remain intact we find it necessary to implement an increase of $13.00 per month, as January 2025.

We do understand this may place a burden on some of our customers, but we assure you that we are still the most competitive security provider in the San Fernando Valley.

Please note, customers who are currently at our $99.99 rate will not see an increase.

UPDATE ON PATROL TRACKING SOFTWARE

Greetings,

We have been made aware of an ongoing issue with our patrol tracking software in which many of you are not receiving notice of completed patrols. While we have continued our service, a glitch in the software has made it difficult to track individual vehicles. The issue is not affecting all customers and we are working to resolve the glitch.

It may take us several days to resolve this technical problem, however, we will begin to migrate our customers into one of our back-up systems. This software is called Routific and while it is primarily used as a delivery tracking tool, it can also be used to track our patrols. You will begin to receive these reports in the next few days. These notifications will arrive via emails, which means you will receive multiple emails stating that a package has been delivered, please disregard the package delivery aspect.

Happy Pasover to our customers in the Jewish community!

We would like to take a moment to wish our customers a happy and blessed Passover. As a reminder, we are avialable to assist you and your family while you celebrate this important date.

As part of a community effort in partnership with Chaverim LA, we have been hired to provide extra patrol service between shuls and in the neighborhoods surrounding them as a result you may see one of our patrol vehicles driving through without stopping at any customers homes. Rest assured, your regular patrol service is still being provided as the extra vehicle is providing an added layer of protection.

February Community Update

As we welcome February, we are proud to continue to serve the homes, businesses houses of worship and schools in our communities. As always, we strive to provide excellent service at reasonable prices to our neighbors in Valley Village, North Hollywood, Valley Glenn, Studio City, Sherman Oaks and Encino.

Standard Patrol Service

Armed Vehicle Patrol
Our patrol vehicles are well marked and are equiped with light bars in order to increase visibility at night. All our patrol officers are armed and carry a variety of tools including two-way radios and flash lights. Armed response is avialable 24-hours a day, our dispatch number is (833) 527-2331, option 1. To report suspicious activity be prepared to give a detailed description of the person or vehicle as this will help our patrol officers in their response.

Alarm Response
Residential alarm response is 24-hours a day, commercial alarm response is after business hours. As a reminder, we will never bill an additional charge for alarm response, even if it's a false alarm. To make use of our alarm response service, contact your alarm provider and add our dispatch number (833) 527-2331, option 1, as your #2 contact. Our response times are typically between 3 and 7 minutes.

Vacation watch
Your service includes vacation watch at no additional cost. Simply send us a message at [email protected] letting us know when you expect to be out of town and our officers will conduct a brief walk around of the accesible areas of your property. You can also ask us to look out for packages and to bring your trash cans into your driveway while you are away.

Billing update

Quarterly/Annual accounts
Many of our customers originally signed up under quarterly or yearly billing. We will be adjusting all of our accounts to monthly billing, this will take effect when your next invoice is due to be processed.

Price changes
For several years we have been able to provide service to our customers for an ultra low fee. Increases in wages, fuel costs, vehicle maintenance and insurance, have meade it necessary for us to increse our prices by $10. This is a modest increase and we do not forsee any additional increases. Additional Services

Ring Camera Monitoring
We offer after hours RING camera monitoring for homes and businesses at the rate of $100/month. This service is ideal for construction sites and businesses under renovation as no contract is required and we can monitor accounts from time periods as short as 3 months to permanent monitoring. There is no limit on the number of cameras we can monitor at a given site. Current monitoring includes live guard intervention and patrol response if needed. At this time our monitoring periods are between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM. For more information, email [email protected] or call (833) 527-2331, option 2.

Construction sites
Many construction projects suffer from theft and at times having a posted guard may help protect your investment, we have a variaety of options for construction projects. Additionaly our customers can opt for a walkthrough instead of a posted guard and while a posted guard is most effective, daily walkthroughs can help keep squatters from taking over vacant homes. Extended Patrol
Although our patrol service aims to provide as much coverage as possible, customers can opt to have our vehicle units to spend additional time in their neighborhoods at the rate of $60/hour which can be broken down into $1/minute increments. These extended times may be beneficial in neighborhoods where criminal activity has increased. Happy New Year From Interagency Response!

Interagency Response had a busy 2023 and is looking forward to a productive 2024. Our priority has always been on keeping our customers safe and satisfied by employing high quality officers and maintaining a standard of training throughout the year. We apricate your continued business and recommendations.

Armed Vehicle Patrol

History 2020-2023

In 2020 a group of homeowners approached Interagency Response in regards to vehicle patrol as the service from the company they were working with began to deteriorate. At the time Interagency Response's main focus was on posted officers at schools and religious institutions. Interagency Response began with 50 patrol accounts with the potential to add an additional 200 accounts. Through the end of 2020, Interagency Response ran test patrols to refine the operation with an initial offering of 1 patrol per day. By the end of 2021 Interagency had grown to include accounts in Valley Village, Valley Glen and Sherman Village and was providing 3 daily patrols and 24-hour alarm response. By the end of 2022, Interagency provided patrol service for close to 400 customers and had increased patrol frequency to 4-6 patrols per day. In 2023,Interagency response saw substantial growth as by the end of the year we had nearly 600 patrol accounts in Valley, Village, Valley Glen, North Hollywood, Sherman Oaks and Encino.

Operations

When Interagency Response began patrol operations, we were doing so at a loss, supplementing patrol expenses with revenue from our posted accounts. This was done with the philosophy that these units would not only help expand our reach but also provide valuable back-up for our posted officers. While we have increased our presence and the number of accounts has grown, so too have our expenses including wages and cost of fuel and we have yet to close the gap between the cost of running the patrol and the actual revenue which it generates.

Continuing Operations

Interagency Response knows that we have become a valued and involved part of the communities where we work. Our customers constantly praise us for our responsiveness and professionalism and they recommend us to their friends and business partners. Our armed vehicle patrol has become an integral part of keeping the homes, businesses, schools and places of worship safe. It is our desire to continue operating in this capacity and in order to do so, we will be effecting a $10 per month increase in price to most customers. We know you understand that in order to provide the service we have to this point been able to, we must keep up with the costs of doing business.
