It was an joy-full, musical & nature filled August 🎨 Grateful to know my human design. Can you guess what I am? Yep, a Projector.

What does it mean as a Projector? Projectors like me live to guide not grind.

I did NOT know this when I was younger hence burnout, but grateful to add play and rest throughout my month ♥️

Yep, I’m teaching leaders how to throw some punches 🥊 At the Forum in New Orleans, I taught leaders how to handle difficult conversations at work. (To be clear: I didn’t teach leaders to fight others, I taught leaders scripts and strategies to de-escalate a situation).

The 2nd day I presented, I closed it out teaching self-defense moves that might be needed in the real world, after so many women sharing how they missed the 7AM Self-Defense workshop and wanted to learn. So I taught them.

Whether it’s having a difficult conversation OR dealing with a real world experience, remember:

➡️ “There’s more power in de-escalating a situation than escalating one.”

Not going to Coachella, but my Amazon Part 2 talk is live🎥. Just like Beyonce reuniting with Destiny’s Child, I brought 3 incredible Amazon female leaders on the stage with me.

Instead of singing (I wasn’t blessed with the Filipino singing or dancing gene unfortunately), we all talked about:

- What it looks like to lead a team of 100+ while holding it together
- Why playing it safe is keeping you stuck
- How your empathy and emotion are strengths, not liabilities
- The importance of understanding seasons at work
- Managing anxiety at work (We talked therapy & I shared the 2 therapeutic methods that actually helped me)
- How to advocate for yourself without feeling like you’re bragging

Before the SoCal Women’s Conference wrapped, I reminded all 70 women in that room the importance of being in a village, and staying in a community.

Because we don’t grow alone, we grow together.

70 seats. A waitlist of 20. Is this how Beyoncé & Taylor Swift feel? 😳 I’m the keynote speaker for the SoCal Women’s Leadership Conference & this one is full circle.

This conference is organized by the SBD6 team in Ontario, California.
Where I grew up.
Where my parents still live.
Where I went to Howard Elementary & Oaks Middle School ( )

And when I did a little research, I found out that on the opening day of the Amazon SBD6 building, the band performed.

The same band my two band geek brothers played in.
I was the orch dork with the violin.

My parents will FINALLY get to watch me keynote.
In their backyard.

The last time they got to see me speak in their backyard was my Valedictorian graduation speech at Oaks Middle School! 🥹 I was 13.

➡️ My talk? I’ll be talking about emotional intelligence, executive presence and communication through a lens that retail and operation leaders actually speak: supply chain logic applied to people. Fun fact, one of my first jobs was working at See’s Candies.
