Hi,

My name is Kian. I’m a traveler. I went to school overseas and would often fly home for holidays. For work, I’ve had the good fortune to travel to exciting places across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

I think that travel is the only thing you can buy that actually makes you richer. While at each destination I always encounter interesting histories, rich cultures, and hospitable peoples, I soon realised that the actual process of traveling can be anything but hospitable. Cramped spaces, luggage fees, security checkpoints, not to mention instances where valuables might be lost or stolen all conspire to make the process of travel not as fun as it should be.

At the center of that difficulty is baggage. Specifically carry-on baggage that doesn't look the part, have the space you need or is impossible to keep your stuff organized in. In this ever changing world, baggage has been stuck in the last century.
18 months ago, I set out to change that. I view travel as a journey from A – B and wanted to make the ‘–‘ the best part.
To journey smarter, I needed a bag that was innovative and could adapt to the needs, comfort, and sense of adventure of the modern day traveler. I’ve spoken to dozens of world travelers and worked with some of the best manufacturers in the world to create the best travel backpack ever made. After 12 different prototypes, endless countries of traveling, continuous feedback and a year and half of development, I can’t wait to show you what I’m working on.

Over the coming days, I will be sharing more details as well as the first look at the Veltra bag. You'll have a chance to share your thoughts and help bring this project to life. In the meantime, I want to thank you for joining me on this journey and invite you to spread the word.
