Baby, It’s Cold Outside. Are You in Need of a Heating Repair?
Winter is the worst, which is why we live in California. But, we still have to deal with some cold nights. Unfortunately, there is no amount of layers that can make up for when you are in need of a heating repair. This is not the time to test out whether or not you have what it takes to be a Navy SEAL. A cold home will leave you singing the winter blues in no time and will affect your productivity around the house and at work.
If you don’t want to foot the bill for a professional to check on things for you, there are a few quick things you can do to potentially turn a nightmare into that warm, summer dream you’ve been hoping for:
1. Vacuum out the area around the furnace’s blower (forced air unit)
2. Refill your motor ports (forced air unit)
3. Clean debris from your pilot or***ce and check your flame setting (furnace with a pilot light)
4. Clean or replace filters
5. Check the simple stuff—thermostat is set to “heat,” circuit breakers are on, furnace power is switched on.
