To Our Mirada Friends and Colleagues,

As we are all finding new ways to operate in these uncertain times, I wanted to provide a status update and offer to help in any way we can.

We have been executing a business continuity plan around the clock for the last two weeks to balance our staff’s safety while ensuring the security of our clients work and uninterrupted operations.

- Security & Technology: We have designed a new security protocol, upgraded our routing capability, and implemented a remote software solution that allows our creatives to work on secure assets offsite without the assets ever leaving our onsite servers.

- Onsite Support and WFH: The majority of our staff are working from home and fully operational. We have onsite-critical staff working in private offices to ensure safe social distancing.

While we’re proud of the incredible progress of our operations teams, we will continue navigating this ever-changing landscape. Through it all, our staff remain highly-motivated to support our clients, find new ways of working, protect our business, and do great work.

We would love the opportunity to help in any way we can, from sharing learnings to resources. For production solutions, we also have two small stages within our studio with the ability to live-stream motion and photo shoots. If you’re short-handed—need something animated, a creative director for a day, a graphic designed, an instant brainstorm, a quick cut, or anything else—don’t hesitate to reach out.

We wouldn't dare pretend that this is a definitive list, but it is a list of the projects that the top exhibit designers see as influential and important projects that have helped to push the area of exhibition design forward. The breadth of projects that were submitted was amazing.

UCLA and Mirada have launched the Every/One pop-up experience featuring the Hollywood Diversity Report!

The Hollywood Diversity Report highlights whether or not current Hollywood film and television reflects our nation’s reality. If it doesn’t, then why? If the stories we see no longer reflect our reality, then what happens to our reality? The outcome of the experience is the visualization of over 3 years and several hundreds of thousands of lines of data on film and television. Showing how the most successful stories often mirror the diverse makeup of the United States.

It will pop up around the UCLA campus over the next couple of weeks so be on the look out!

It has been an honor to help visualize the Hollywood Diversity Report by Darnell Hunt, Ana Christina Ramón, & Ralph J. Bunche Center for African American Studies at UCLA. Additional thanks to Vice Chancellor Jerry Kang and the External Affairs team for enabling and helping bring this project to life.
