It is indeed a great pleasure to introduce to you and share with you all the experience that opened wide Khoulay’s gateway to the world of arts and performance. She fell in love with the art of music and colors at the age of seven (7), not long after her father immigrated to the US from Morocco. Her dad’s trip to America seemed to instill in her the passion for singing and creatively writing so
ngs. A year later, she found herself mesmerized by music, all kinds of music, but most particularly Pop Music. She realized that she had an artist in her and that this artist had to be known to the public. Not only was she so fascinated by the flair of pop music but she also began the endeavor of writing songs and performing at schools, festivals and wherever she would seize the opportunity to share her newly born talent. At the age of 15, she joined an art school in the city of Fes, Morocco, to learn more about music, acting and song writing. In the course of her quest for fame, she did some stage acting and participated in shows and radio talks. She was one of the participants in Studio 2M, a Moroccan song competition broadcasted by 2M TV; Studio 2M is a Moroccan version of the French Star Academy. Even though she was not lucky enough to win any of those completions, her experience in Studio 2M taught her so much and gave her the strength to pursue her dreams of success with determination. That pursuit paid off when she received a call from a Radio Station in Paris offering her a record label. She accepted the offer and began the procedure to move to Paris.
