Dear Friends,
I have the privilege of serving on the Board of Directors for Able ARTS Work (AAW). Founded in Long Beach in 1982, Able ARTS Work's guiding philosophy is "Love Before Learning. Learn for Life." Their core service provides a 30-hour per week adult day program to 150 adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Grant-funded outreach programs serve over 2,000 at-risk youth through music therapy services on Head Start preschool campuses and K-12th grade special education classes and after school art, music, and theater workshops to at-risk youth throughout Los Angeles County.
On September 10, 2021, we will be hosting the opening of Able ARTS Work’s new exhibit, Timeline, at our gallery at 2nd & PCH at 4:30 pm and a Harbor Sunset Cruise at 6:00 pm to raise funds for our new Long Beach building.
Join us for live music, drinks, and gourmet food on a beautiful yacht while supporting a great cause. The evening will also include honoring Brock Kaericher, former President of REMO, Co., and Steve West, Chairman at West Music Company, who will both receive the Ami and Remo Belli Humanitarian award. Tickets are $500 each, and other sponsorship opportunities are listed below. Each ticket has a tax-deduction value of $350.
Last fall, Able ARTS Work launched a capital campaign, A Home of Our Own, to purchase a building in Long Beach. So far, we've raised $125,000 and need to raise $700,000 more for a down payment on a facility. Meeting this goal will help us leverage large grants from our partner foundations. I'm asking for your help to make this dream come true for Able ARTS Work.
·All donations are tax-deductible.
·Contributions over $25,000 will be recognized by donor name recognition on studios within the building, and a large piece of artwork within the building will display the names of all other big and small donations. Our Tax ID Number is 95-3658291.
·AAW will give social media and print acknowledgment to donating corporations throughout the year-long campaign.
