A short story for anyone who has ever doubted themself.

It was just my mom and I growing up. I watched her struggle my entire adolescent years to keep a roof over my head. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to be when I grew up but I knew I didn’t want to struggle like that. My mom always told me I could be anything and do anything as long as I worked for it. She told me enough times that I believed her.

When I started my business, I endured years and years of pain, struggling to survive but, I believed I could make it work. Fast forward to yesterday where I signed my books in a town I came as a little kid. My book sits on a shelf in between one of the most acclaimed marketers in the modern era and one of the best selling series of books.

If you’re reading this and if you’ve ever doubted yourself, don’t. You can do it. You can achieve anything in life as long as you’re willing to put in the work. Start that business, go on that bucket list trip, take that first step in your life that sets you on a new path to whatever you dream. I’m rooting for you. I’m proof it can happen to a kid from Bowie, Maryland that didn’t know what he wanted to be when he grew up and it will happen for you if you want it bad enough.
