Climbers, cyclists, runners, and all kinds of other athletes—both men and women—are starting to speak out about disordered eating in their communities.

Tyler Hamilton would bike for six or seven hours, come home famished, and chug a Diet Coke as fast as he could. A Diet Coke, and maybe an apple, and “you go from ravenous to ‘okay, maybe I can go another hour now.’”

The PRO team was on site with The Collegiate Women Sports Awards this weekend in Los Angeles.

After only a year at Stanford University, freshman swimming sensation Katie Ledecky – who became the most-decorated American female athlete at the Rio Olympic Games (with four golds, one silver) – was named the Collegiate Woman Athlete of the Year.

“It was a great honor to even be in contention for the Honda Cup,” Ledecky tells PEOPLE. “It’s a really special, prestigious award and I’m honored.”

Besides Ledecky, the “top three” finalists for Collegiate Woman Athlete of the Year award included senior basketball star Kelsey Plum of the University of Washington and Kendell Williams, a track and field standout from the University of Georgia, who is also a senior.

We've been heartbroken this week after learning of the passing of one of the most extraordinary human beings we’ve ever had on our team, Sean Weide. Today we want to celebrate him --> the guy from Omaha who spent his first day on the job wondering how he got stuck riding the entire 2007 Tour of California with two crazy women from Los Angeles. It took only one race transfer to know what we had in Weide. We realized we would never have to look up any piece of information or cycling statistic again because he knew everything…from 1979 on...We didn’t have to stay up late working on press releases because Weide would have them written from the backseat of the car within 3 minutes of the race being over. And if there was a big crowd blocking our way to the finish, no problem. Weide would take out the whistle we wondered why he was wearing around his neck and blow it as hard as he could, parting the masses like the Red Sea. But most of all, we were won over by his heart. His compassion, kindness, faith and love he had for his daughters stood apart. He was in a class of his own and pushed all of us to do better, to be better. Our original crew Wesley Mallette, Martine Charles, Melinda Travis and Katrina Florence Younce will never forget those early days with Toyota United and Rock Racing and what we accomplished together before the legend was a legend. We will miss him so much. We honor him by paying his kindness forward and supporting his 5 beautiful princesses who he loved more than anything. Rest in peace, friend. https://www.gofundme.com/WeidePrincesses
