There was a season when I stepped away from offering certain services because I did not like what I was seeing happen to people’s hair.

But over the years, one thing became even more clear to me: when a stylist is willing to learn, grow, and understand the proper way to perform a service, it changes everything.

Not every client is a fit for every install. Not every method should be applied the same way. And that is exactly why real skill will always matter more than what is trending.

I have never been the stylist to offer something just because it is popular. I believe in offering what makes sense, what protects the hair, and what truly serves the client well.

I’m looking for clients who value healthy hair, proper technique, and a more personalized experience.

And for the stylists who want more of this kind of education… stay close. I am working on something special.

Back in the day… we didn’t get to pick and choose.

If it came through the door—
you had to know how to do it.
Short cuts, wraps, finger waves, ponytails, weaves…

whatever was popular at the time,
you had to be ready.
That’s how we built our skills
That’s how we became versatile.
And even now… I still invest in my craft.

Staying educated, learning new techniques—
but being selective about what actually serves me and my clients.

Now I understand niches… I do.
But I’ll always be a stylist that knows how to figure it out
and make it make sense for the client in my chair.

Sometimes it’s not about changing your situation.

I’ve heard people say, “you’re always around money.”
Or, “people associate you with money.”

That’s not really what it is.
What you’re seeing is relationships. Access. The rooms I’m in.
And those things don’t happen by accident.

A better way to say it is: my network is my net worth.
Words matter. Perspective matters.

Think about what you’re saying — and how you’re saying it.
