During his nine-year stint at OTSP, Danny secured media placements for clients in the entertainment, publishing, consumer and healthcare industries, reaching over 700 million viewers across various campaigns. He developed extensive relationships with media professionals in television and radio and with editorial contacts in the digital, new media and online arena. A graduate of San Francisco State University, Danny Deraney earned his BA in Organizational Communication and began his career as a sports intern at KPIX-CBS in San Francisco. Through his hard work, Danny landed the coveted position of field producer and Assignment Editor. Elaine Hendrix (Dynasty), Hana Mae Lee (Pitch Perfect), Dominique Columbus (Road House 2024), Ray Santiago (One of Them Days) Phillip Garcia (Clean Slate), Bryan Fitzgerald (American Rust) and Alex Rich (The Patient) have joined producers Sean Whalen (Twister) and Rebekah Kennedy (To The Bone) for the upcoming horror-thriller Swipe, a collaboration between Whalen’s MSYL Productions and Kennedy’s Slight Entertainment.

Swipe follows a young woman who must save her imprisoned brother from a sinister family of captors: a ruthless mother and her three mute daughters.

The film marks Sean Whalen’s second directorial effort, following his feature debut Crust, distributed by Anchor Bay Entertainment. Chris Sergi (Blumhouse’s I’m Just F*cking With You) is attached to produce, with a script written by Mark Mardini.

The Los Angeles wildfires are prompting last-minute changes to this year's Young Entertainer Awards. The nonprofit organization that honors young performers and creatives plans to go forward with its 9th annual awards ceremony at the El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood on Saturday, January 18, with proceeds benefitting horse and animal rescue efforts in the fire-ravaged areas.
