As we close out Read Across America Week, we’re proud to highlight the impact of our partners at HPTJV and the PDA Foundation.

Throughout the week, members of our project team volunteered their time to read with students and host a book giveaway, sharing stories connected to STEAM, construction, and the skills that help shape future builders, engineers, and leaders.

In just a short time, 467 books were collected and distributed, putting meaningful resources directly into the hands of young readers.

Special thanks to The Kid Builds a Library for leading the charge and inspiring all of us to support literacy and opportunity in our communities. 📚

Our spotlight is on Jeremiah, the founder of thekidbuildsalibrary he chose to build instead of wait, putting books directly into the hands of young readers at a time when access matters most.

His vision aligns with our work at PDA Consulting Group and our partners HPTJV and Elevate BUR. Literacy builds confidence, expands opportunity, and helps students see themselves as future builders and leaders.

We proudly matched his book donation to Providencia Elementary and we’re still counting.

The students at Providencia Elementary heard that message loud and clear from our President & CEO, Pam Penn.

She reminded students that Black inventors, builders, and leaders have shaped , and continue to shape the world we live in. From trailblazers like Garrett Morgan, Alexander Miles, and Paul R. Williams to her own journey as a Black woman business owner in construction.

Pam showed what’s possible when purpose meets persistence. Her leadership has helped guide major projects including SoFi Stadium, Intuit Dome, LAX, and the Hollywood Burbank Replacement Terminal, and now she’s focused on building something even greater: the next generation.

The PDA Youth Engagement team joined LAWA (Los Angeles World Airports) for Aviation Career Day, connecting with students and sharing insights on the Automated People Mover project.

Students explored how LINXS is shaping the future of construction and helping create a more efficient, connected travel experience at LAX.

It was an incredible opportunity to inspire the next generation about careers in construction, the skilled trades, and innovative transportation projects that move our city forward.
