Hi 👋 Sometimes people ask us how to make their microphones last longer. Here are a few tips:
Be sure to carry your microphone in a case. We make some nice ones but anything that we'll protect the mic during transit is good.
Use a pop filter if you like to speak close to the mic to get that warm and intimate sound. That will not only prevent plosives. It will also protect the Tula's capsule from excessive moisture.
Use a deadcat when recording outdoors. Of course this protects your recordings from being ruined by wind but it also protects the capsules from dust.
Lastly, never use force when using the Tula stand or mic stand adapter. They are designed to attach and detach like butter. If you're having to apply force, it means they are in the wrong position.

Advice on Tula Mics for Optimal Performance 🎤

Are you ready to unlock the full potential of your Tula Mic? Follow these tips to ensure you get the best sound quality and performance every time:

📏 Positioning Matters: Place the Tula Mic at a consistent distance from your mouth, typically 6-12 inches. Use a pop filter if necessary. The closer you are the warmer and more present your voice will sound but there is also more danger of plosives (the dreaded P sound). Use a pop filter if necessary or turn the mic slightly off axis.

🎚️ Set the Gain Correctly: Adjust the gain on your Tula Mic to ensure your recordings are clear without distortion. By default the Tula is set to 6/10. If the gain meter (front right) is barely flickering green, turn it up a bit. If is turning yellow or red, turn it down.
NOTE - Gain controls are the + and - on the LEFT side.

🎧 Monitor Your Audio: Use headphones to monitor your audio in real-time. This helps you catch any issues immediately and make adjustments on the fly.

🛠️ Use the Right Accessories: We make a custom magnetic pop filter and a deadcat windscreen (for outdoor recording).

🔄 Update Firmware: Make sure your Tula Mic firmware is up to date. This ensures you have the latest features and improvements.
