Happy New Year! As we look to 2018, many of you have shared your “word” for the year. A word that you hope will be a driving focus in everything that you do. In that spirit, wants to share with you our word for 2018... IKIGAI!

Ikigai (生き甲斐, pronounced ‘ee-kee-gah-ee’) is a Japanese concept that means "a reason for being." It is similar to the French phrase ‘Raison d'être’. According to the Japanese, everyone has an ikigai. Finding it, however, requires a deep, often lengthy, and challenging search. It doesn’t come easy! Discovering one's ikigai, in which there is an alignment of your passion, mission, profession, and vocation, brings satisfaction and meaning to life.
