🎉 Celebrating 50 Years of PMI LA Chapter! 🎉

Key takeaway: Be able to pivot. Roadblocks come up, but progress is pushing through, changing direction, and regaining ground to accomplish what you set out to do.

Huge milestones like PMI SD LA’s 50th anniversary did not come without challenges. They made it to 50 years due to the dedication of many volunteers over the years who navigated challenges and celebrated wins, both small and large. Here’s to another 50 years of excellence! 🌟

Just got back from an amazing trip to New Mexico for the PMI San Diego Chapter Board of Directors Meeting and Regional Conference ⭐️

This experience reminded me of some important lessons:

1️⃣Every chance meeting is an opportunity. You never know who you'll bump into and what new doors it might open. The connections I made were unexpected and invaluable!

2️⃣Don't judge a book by its cover. I met so many incredible people with amazing stories. It’s a reminder to stay open-minded and embrace everyone’s unique journey. There are so many valuable tidbits of information you can glean from just getting to know someone.

3️⃣Conversations really do go a long way. Whether it was over coffee with Phoebe Jane Johnson, or during a workshop with Seyi Oshinowo, the insights and advice shared were unforgettable.

I also had the chance to meet Christopher Chavez from Kewa Pueblo, also known as Santo Domingo Pueblo. This federally recognized tribe of Keresan-speaking Native Americans is renowned for their skilled jewelry making, pottery, and weaving. Located about 25 miles southwest of Santa Fe, Kewa Pueblo is one of the largest and most prominent pueblos in the state. Such a rich cultural experience!
