Jenny Lee would be considered by many as having had an enviable childhood. The daughter of a style conscious mother, Jenny vividly remembers trips to local custom tailors for weekly fittings of outfits being made for her. At the early age of six, she started designing her
own clothes, choosing the fabrics herself and had a keen eye for color and textiles. This creative experimentation and influencing by her mother had a huge impact on her career path and as a young woman in America saw her take up a career in fashion design. After graduating from the prestigious Parsons School of Design, Jenny relocated to California and subsequently opened her first boutique in Beverly Hills in 1995. Among her many happy brides, Jenny has established a celebrity clientele including actresses in movies, TV and the stage in the United States, Europe and Asia as well as creating couture wedding gowns for renowned Japanese singer and actress Iijima Naoko, actor Eisaku Yoshida. Japanese magazine “Domani” featured her collection too. WIth the success of her Beverly Hills boutique, she decided to show her collection nationally. In 2003, Jenny produced her first show in New York City at Bridal Couture Week, with resounding success. The response was truly overwhelming and word of mouth spread about her amazing fit and quality craftsmanship. The construction of Jenny’s gowns are what allow brides to wear the dress and not the other way around! This collection of finely made dresses appeal to a modern and fashion forward bride. Since 2004, Jenny has had extensive media coverage including all major wedding magazines like Martha Stewart, Brides, InStyle and featured on television’s InStyle Weddings featuring top wedding gown designers and Kleinfeld’s, Say Yes To The Dress. In 2005, Jenny Lee was awarded “New Designer of the Year”, which is the most prestigious accolade for a young designer. In May 2007, Channel LA 18 introduced Jenny Lee as “the hottest new wedding gown designer” during an interview featuring her collection. Jenny’s collection is featured at top department stores, Bergdorf Goodman, New York and Neiman Marcus in Dallas. The increased popularity and profile of the Jenny Lee brand went full force in 2007 nationally and internationally in Latin America, Korea, Hong Kong, England, Japan and Canada.
