Takeaway from Shy Girl for indie authors:

If you care about keeping AI generated content OUT of your book, you need to do the following…

1. Ask your editor/publisher how/if they use AI
2. Get their response in writing
3. State clearly that you do not want AI involved in the editing process

It’s sad that this is the word we’re living in, but the truth about so many “affordable” vendors you see out there for editing are using AI to cut their costs.

If the price is too good to be true — it probably is ☹️

And the truth is, PR is much more complex then reaching out to one journalist.

When we work with clients, in most campaigns, we reach out to hundreds if not thousands of journalists.

So if you think that PR won’t work for you because you’ve tried it on your own, you might not be reaching out to the right folks with the right message.
