🇺🇸 1866 Iowa 13th Amendment Ratification — Abolishing Slavery — One of Only 200 Authorized

An exceptionally scarce Civil War-era document commemorating Iowa’s ratification of the Thirteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution — permanently abolishing slavery in America.

Issued by Iowa’s Eleventh General Assembly in 1866, contemporary legislative records document that the Secretary of State was authorized to produce only 200 copies on parchment, recording the names of legislators and their votes.

This remarkable surviving example bears the large green embossed State of Iowa seal, the complete text of Article XIII, the legislative ratification resolution, and extensive patriotic and Civil War-era imagery.

Professionally presented in a large framed display alongside a portrait of President Abraham Lincoln, measuring approximately 37 inches wide overall.

A remarkable piece of American history directly connected to one of the most consequential constitutional amendments ever adopted.

An exceptional set of six Cristallerie de Saint-Louis crystal wine glasses in the celebrated Thistle Gold (Chardon) pattern — one of the legendary French crystal house’s most prestigious designs.

Each No. 3 wine glass features finely cut clear crystal richly decorated with an elaborate frieze of scrolling thistle and foliate motifs executed in 24-karat gold, with additional gilt decoration across the circular feet.

Each glass bears the acid-etched “Cristal St. Louis France” factory mark.

An exceptional vintage Louis Vuitton Cotteville 45 hard-sided travel case in Damier canvas, produced for the 1896–1996 Édition Centenaire.

The engraved central lock plate identifies this individually numbered example as No. 207 from the Centenaire production.

Beautifully preserved, with its original Louis Vuitton luggage tag, securing straps and numbered interior label. The Damier canvas, leather trim and remarkably clean interior present exceptionally well.
