If you are a foreign actor playing roles in British English or with a Standard American Accent the approach is very helpful when you start working on your lines, because you train your muscles to transport the emotions into another language. I worked with on and with a different approach that I would suggest as step 2. I just taught my first two classes on "How to create, voice and perform strong video game characters" to 88 Japanese students from Tokyo, Osaka and the Nagoya School of Music. I once studied Japanese, but couldn't have done it without Yuko the great composer and translator. They have been the most amazing students ever and it was a delight to be their sensei. I filmed (badly) a short moment of an acting exercise with a stunt element.

Wie wirst Du in internationalen Filmproduktionen besetzt?

Ich arbeite seid 30+ Jahren als Film- und Fernsehschauspielerin, 17 davon in Los Angeles und unterrichte den Meisterstudiengang “Acting for the Camera” und “Acting for Directors” an der New York Film Academy.

Auf Grund der Nachfrage biete ich einen Kurs für Schauspieler an, die in nationalen und internationalen Filmproduktionen arbeiten wollen.

Ich bringe Dir bei, wie der amerikanische Markt funktioniert, wie Du dort Manager und Agenten finden kannst, wie man eine Arbeitserlaubnis bekommt, ob Du in Hollywoodproduktionen überhaupt Besetzungschancen hast, ob es sich lohnt, was es Dich kostet, wie man eine internationale Karriere aus Deutschland heraus aufbauen kann und vieles, vieles mehr.
