Giving Back Is a Gift That Keeps Giving ๐๐จ
Back in May, I joined the Impact Movement Group to help build a home for a family in need. It was one of the most meaningful experiences Iโve had. It also led me to meet another incredible organization.
I met a husband and wife who open their home every single weekend to teach local kids carpentry and woodworking. Heโs a carpenter by trade. She teaches sewing to the mothers. Together they teach real, hands-on skills. They also teach morals, ethics, responsibility, and the value of education. They even help the kids get what they need to finish school.
They do all of this from the heart and largely out of their own pocket. Their needs arenโt always met through organizations, churches, or the community.
Hereโs where we come in. The wood these kids work with is tough, and the couple burns through their table saw blades faster than theyโd like. With more tools and supplies, they could do so much more. Are you in for the mission??
๐ก HOW YOU CAN HELP:
๐ช Cutting
- Table saws
- Replacement blades (rip and crosscut)
- Push sticks and featherboards
- Handsaws, miter box, and coping saws
๐ Everyday shop essentials
- Tape measures, combination squares, and pencils
- Bar clamps and C-clamps
- Hammers and screwdrivers
- Wood glue
- Sandpaper, sanding blocks, files, and rasps
๐ฆบ Safety gear
- Safety glasses
- Dust masks
- Hearing protection
๐ค Anything else we can provide together as a community
Imagine these kids graduating, becoming general contractors, and then donating their time to organizations like Impact Movement Group to build homes for families in need. Thatโs a priceless gift that keeps on giving. ๐ก
If we come together, we can give this family what they need. Itโs an honor and a duty to serve the Kingdom of God and give Him the glory. โ๏ธ
