Palmquist Studios at Infrasonic Sound was originally founded by Infrasonic's Pete Lyman and Jeff Ehrenberg in 2003. The studio was created as a home away from home. Under the direction of Eric Palmquist who originally came in as Chief Engineer in 2010, the studio’s atmosphere is relaxed and productive. In 2013 Palmquist became the owner of the recording facilities as Lyman and Ehrenberg focused th
ere attention on their new mastering and vinyl cutting facility. Located in the El Sereno neighborhood of Los Angeles the studio is secluded enough to let artists get down to their art. Yet just a few minutes from Downtown and Echo Park/Silver Lake – close enough to everything L.A. has to offer (restaurants, taco trucks, ban mi sandwiches. The important things). We hope you'll find Palmquist Studios to be a productive studio for your next recording. Palmquist Studios Has four studios. Studio A is features a 1200 square foot live room. One of the largest tracking rooms of any independent studio in Los Angeles. A Custom Trident 80-C featuring a Master Section mod by Steve Firlotte, A custom Power Supply. Modded channels designed by Tom Herzer featuring a Cinamag Trident A-Range transformers truly giving the studio a unparalleled unique sound. We use all recording tools available to make the best recording possible. Whether it is our pristine Otari MTR 90 2" tape machine with both the rare 16 track and 24 track heads is our huge Pro Tools 40in 40out HD system. In many records we use both! This blend of technology provides the engineer and artist the best of both worlds and the tools available to create any style record imaginable. Studios B, C and D are production suites with acoustical treatments and their own isolation room. They are designed for producers, writers and mixers who need a professional work place.
