A very quick fest indeed. Upon invitation of her friends - and by extension, Isa Darisay - to surf in the Quiksilver Surf Festival, ‘no’ was not an option. She booked a flight and was in France 36 hours later armed only with a disposable camera and impeccable alcohol tolerance. Here’s what she came back with.

The local skate shop is the hub. It’s where you meet up with friends. It’s where you find out what’s cool. It’s where you learn the culture. It’s never been an easy game, but the last few years have been even tougher. We stopped by Ben G the shop in Amsterdam with perhaps the most stacked shop team in skate history, to discuss the times and the importance of shops with the owner, Benny Kamala. Link in bio.

Late Night with Conan O’Brien, May 22, 2003. A month before we hit press on our first issue of MC QOTSA Age play “Go With the Flow,” Josh Homme has said the whole song, words, music and drums, arrived in his head at once.

And the line “I want something good to die for
To make it beautiful to live”. Still gets me, every time - honourable mention ‘I can’t wash you off my skin’.
