Meditation: Body Scan✨
Goal: Bring awareness to each part of the body sequentially.
Ground rules: 1️⃣ utilize whatever time you can. While 30-40minutes would be ideal, even 3-4min consistently will make a HUGE difference. 2️⃣ notice without judgement, experience your body without wishing change, just be aware of what is. 3️⃣ when your mind wanders (it will) focus on your breathing to bring you back to your body. ➖
▪️Sit or lie down in a place that’s comfortable for you. ▪️Close your eyes, and start to breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. ▪️Start with the top of your head, working toward your toes, notice each body part and any associated sensations: heavy, light, hot, cold, tension, ease, tingling, numbness. Once you scan over a body part and identify a feeling move to the next. ▪️After reaching your toes, consider the sensation of your body as a whole. How do you feel right now? ▪️After exploring that thought, re-focus on your breathing, and then open your eyes. 👁🧡
