I read my own workshop page start to finish like somebody who'd never seen it, and found three problems in ten minutes.

There's a benefit in my membership that has never once appeared in an ad.

My best performing ad ever is a complaint about AI captions.

📌 Save this before you write your next hook.

The line asks whether your audience would see through your AI written caption in two seconds. It stings a little and it converts. Then I ran a full week of content built entirely around what was blocking the reader, with a quiz linked on Facebook, and not one person asked for the quiz. Clicks looked like nothing.

Both had the same emotional temperature. The targets were opposite. The ad blames the output on the screen. The content week blamed the person reading it.

So the rule I use now is about where the pain gets aimed. Point it at the thing standing in her way. The Canva file that ate her whole afternoon. The caption that came back sounding like a robot wrote it. The plugin that broke her site at 11pm the night before a launch. Aim there and she nods and keeps reading. Make her the defect and she scrolls, because nobody raises their hand to be told what's wrong with them.

✦ Bonus tip: read your hook back and ask who the sentence is accusing. If the answer is your reader, move the accusation onto the tool, the platform, or the afternoon it swallowed.

Claude handed me a graphic hook that said "no coding required" and I couldn't tell you what it meant.

No coding required for what? Building what? For whom? It was a line that could sit on anybody's post, which is another way of saying it belonged on nobody's. My old advice was to tell the AI what I hated about it. I don't fully believe that anymore, because a complaint leaves an infinite number of other things it could try instead.

I did sixty discovery calls in a row for my old coaching offer. Sixty nos. Six months, zero income.

📌 Save this if you've been pulling cards about a sales problem that isn't a mindset problem.

While it was happening, I pulled cards about it constantly. Repeated affirmations in the mirror. Worked my money mindset from every angle I knew. None of it moved the needle, because the problem was never in my head. I was sh*tty at sales. Same pitch, same messaging, sixty times in a row, and I kept expecting a different result.

What actually broke the cycle was an 8-week business class and one real change: treating every failed call as a failed test. Change one variable. Run it again. That's it.

Your nervous system needs real evidence before it believes anything new. Sixty nos is evidence. An affirmation said into a mirror is not. Mindset changes follow new evidence from new action, never the other way around.

If you're stuck in a sales slump and reaching for a card pull before you've touched your actual pitch, that's the same trap I was in.

Most AI problems are maintenance problems, not tool problems.
