When we talk about finances, the conversation usually centers around one thing:
How much money do you have?
But I think there's another side of the conversation that's just as important.
What are you protecting?
Because your financial life is about a lot more than the balance sitting in an account.
It's the income that supports your lifestyle.
It's the people who depend on you.
It's the business you may have spent years building.
It's your time.
And it's having enough flexibility to make choices when life doesn't go exactly according to plan.
I've been a business owner. I've spent years working, building and figuring things out along the way.
And one thing I've learned is that building something is only part of the equation.
You also have to think about protecting what you've built.
That doesn't look exactly the same for everyone.
Different families have different needs. Different business owners face different challenges. And different stages of life bring different priorities.
But I think there's one question all of us can ask:
“If something unexpected happened tomorrow, what in my life would I want to make sure was protected?”
That's a financial conversation worth having.
💬 Of the five in this post — income, family, business, time or options — which one matters most to you right now?
And if this post made you realize there are some questions you haven't asked yet, send me a DM. I'm always happy to start the conversation.

Saving for retirement is important.
But I think there's another question we should be asking:
What are you actually saving FOR?
And I don't just mean retirement.
I mean your retirement.
What do you want your days to look like?
Do you want to travel?
Spend more time with your family?
Have the freedom to pursue things you didn't have time for while you were working?
Maybe you want to keep working — just because you enjoy it — but have the freedom to do it on your terms.
Maybe your biggest goal is simply having more choices.
Because there's a difference between putting money away for “someday” and intentionally thinking about the life you want that money to support.
That's why I believe financial conversations shouldn't only be about numbers.
They should start with you.
Your goals.
Your priorities.
Your family.
Your timeline.
And the future you're hoping to create.
Once you know what you're building toward, you can start asking better questions about how you're preparing for it.
So here's one for today:
If you could design your ideal retirement, what would it actually look like?
💬 I'd love to hear your answer in the comments.
And if you're ready to start having a conversation about your financial future, send me a DM. Let's make your money make sense for the life YOU want to live.

“If I just made more money…”
I think a lot of us have had that thought at some point.
And sometimes? More income absolutely helps.
But here's the part we don't talk about enough:
Making more money doesn't automatically mean you'll build more wealth.
If every increase in income is followed by an increase in spending, the numbers may get bigger — but the financial stress can stay exactly the same.
That's why I think one of the most valuable things you can do isn't just figure out how to earn more.
It's learn how to become more intentional with what you already earn.
Where is it going?
What are you keeping?
What are you building?
What are you protecting?
And what is your money doing for your future?
Because a bigger paycheck without a plan is still a paycheck without a plan.
More money can give you more options.
Knowing what to do with those options is where financial education comes in.
If your income has grown but you still feel like you're asking, “Where does all my money go?” — that's a conversation worth having.
📩 DM me “MORE” and let's talk about making the money you're already earning make more sense.

For a long time, most of us have been given some version of the same financial advice:
Work hard. Save your money.
Is saving important? Absolutely.
But saving money and building wealth aren't necessarily the same thing.
Saving is about keeping some of the money you earn instead of spending it today.
Building wealth requires us to start asking what that money can potentially do over time.
Is it growing?
Is it positioned with your long-term goals in mind?
Are you considering taxes?
Are you protecting what you've already built?
Do you understand the financial tools you're using — and why you're using them?
Those are different questions than simply:
“How much do I have in savings?”
And that's the shift I want more people to make.
I'm not interested in telling people to stop enjoying their money and stash every possible dollar away for someday.
I want people to become more intentional with the money they're already working hard to earn.
Because the goal isn't just to accumulate money.
The goal is to build a financial life that makes sense for YOU.
📩 If you're wondering what your money could be doing differently, DM me “BUILD” and let's start a conversation.

For years, I knew how to work hard.
I knew how to build a business. I knew how to show up, put in the hours, solve problems and keep moving forward.
What I didn’t always understand was how to make the money I was working so hard for work for me.
And I think a lot of people can relate to that.
We’re taught to work.
Earn a paycheck. Build a career. Grow a business. Pay the bills. Save what we can. Put something away for retirement.
But how many of us were actually taught how money works?
How to protect what we’re building?
How different financial strategies work?
How taxes can affect the money we’re putting away for the future?
Or even what questions we should be asking?
That realization is a big part of what eventually brought me into the financial industry.
Because working hard is important.
But I don’t want to spend my entire life working for my money without understanding how to put that money to work for me, too.
And I don't want that for the families and business owners I work with either.
So on a day that's all about recognizing hard work, here's my reminder:
You’ve worked hard for what you have. Make sure you understand what you’re doing with it.
If you’re ready to start asking some of those questions, let’s talk.
📩 DM me “WORK” and we’ll start there.

Earlier this week I said you still have four months left in 2026.
So what should you do with them?
I’d start by getting curious.
One of the things I’ve learned over the years is that you can be working hard, earning money, paying your bills, contributing to accounts and doing everything you think you’re supposed to do…
…and still not really understand your financial picture.
That’s why I believe financial education matters so much.
Before we start talking about specific strategies, I want to know:
Do you understand where your money is going?
Do you know whether your family is adequately protected?
Do you have an actual strategy for retirement?
And most importantly — do you understand why you’re doing what you’re doing?
You don’t have to become a financial expert.
But I do believe you should be able to look at your own financial life and say, “I understand this.”
If you can’t yet, that’s a great place to start.
📩 DM me “CLARITY” and let’s have a conversation. No financial jargon. No expectation that you already know all the answers. Just an opportunity to ask questions and learn more about your options.

September is here — and I want you to remember something:

2026 isn’t over yet.

You still have four months to make decisions your future self will be glad you made.

Four months to get more intentional with your money.
Four months to look at what you’re building for retirement.
Four months to review how your family is protected.
Four months to start learning what you wish someone had taught you years ago.

You don’t need January 1st to make a fresh start.

And you definitely don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin.

One of the biggest things I’ve learned is that financial progress often starts with something much simpler:

Asking better questions.

Where is my money going?
What is it doing for me?
Am I protecting what I’m building?
And is the financial strategy I have today actually capable of getting me where I want to go?

That’s what I want to talk about this September.

If you’ve been telling yourself, “I really need to get serious about this…”

Maybe this is your month.

📩 Send me a DM with the word SEPTEMBER and let’s start a conversation about where you are, where you want to go, and what options may be available to help you get there.

People sometimes ask me who my "ideal client" is.
The truth?
There isn't just one.
Over the years, I've had the privilege of working with young families taking their first financial steps, business owners juggling growth and protection, people preparing for retirement, and young adults who simply wanted to start on the right foot.
Every stage of life brings different questions, and every financial plan should reflect the person behind it.
My role isn't to fit you into a template. It's to understand your goals and help you build a strategy that makes sense for where you are today—and where you want to go tomorrow.
If you've been wondering whether now is the right time to start planning, let's have a conversation.
📩 Send me a message. I'd love to learn your story.

One thing I've learned over the years is that financial planning isn't really about money.
It's about people.
Money is simply the tool.
The real conversation is about your goals, your family, your future, and the life you're working so hard to create.
That's where every conversation should begin.

One of the things I love most about what I do is that every day is different.
Some days I'm meeting with families.
Some days I'm mentoring new financial professionals.
Some days I'm teaching yoga.
No matter where I am, my goal is the same:
Help people move forward with confidence.
That's work worth showing up for.
