What’s happening now...

✈️✊ The Boeing strike is about more than paychecks—it’s about respect, fairness, and the power of standing together.

As IAM International President Brian Bryant said: “Our union is built on democracy, and our members have every right to demand a contract worthy of their contributions. We will be there on the picket lines, ensuring Boeing hears the collective power of working people.”

Boeing workers build some of the most advanced equipment in the world. Their skills can’t just be replaced overnight. When workers demand a fair contract, it’s not greed—it’s about dignity, safety, and making sure the people who keep this industry moving are valued for their expertise.

This fight matters because when one group of workers stands strong, it raises the standard for all working people. That’s the true power of a union. 💪

Do you need to live in L.A. to be an Actor?🤔
Nope. Is the simple answer.
And now…the longer version.🥳

So, here is the best advice I can give you…
And, it actually comes from the experience of my dear friend and fellow Graduate School classmate.💜
After our showcase, she had a general meeting with a casting director.
And, the casting director asked - “Do you have any questions for me?”
And, she said, “Yes, I do actually, do I have to be in L.A. to be an actor?”🧐

And, the casting director replied and said - “The best advice I can give you is to go where you love living and develop your career there.”💜

And, I’m going to repeat that -
The best advice I can give you is to go to where you would love to live and start your career there.

Just think…
Where do I feel happiest in my life?
And, what do I want my creative life to look like?
Maybe it is in L.A. and maybe it isn’t?
And that’s ok.
Be the lead in your own life.
Start with makes you happy and build from there.

So...

We don’t want you to throw spaghetti on the wall…🍝

I remember meeting with one of my first agents when I moved to L.A.
He was impersonal, pushy, unkind and made one comment that really stuck -“You’re really pretty but you also seem really smart. As if you couldn't be both.”🤯
I replied - “that’s because I am.”😎
I told a close friend later… it’s like he didn’t even care to know me, I don’t know why he offered me a place on his roster.

“Oh,” she replied - “he was throwing spaghetti on the wall.”
What??? I had never heard that before!
But, now I get it… he wanted to see if I was going to stick.🥴

How does this relate to you?
Because, as you build your acting career you might think…
“I will try whatever works to get to my goal.”💪

And, that mindset can work, for a little while.
There will high motivation days and days where you feel tired and worn out from the hustle.🥲🤗

And, I don’t want that to be you.
It doesn’t feel good and it doesn’t bring out your best self.
And, you need your best self in this Industry, because it’s a tough industry.😎

Instead of thinking - "what’s going to stick"?
Clarify what you want in your life to look like.🤔

And then, build from there.
Lay the foundation of an acting career.
And, we can help you.

There is nothing more humbling than travel…✈️
The moment you step off of a plane, an entire energy hits you.
The smells, the sounds, the language..
Everything is new.😳

I remember when I left Seattle after getting my MFA.
I arrived in L.A. and…WOW...A completely new life.🥴
Now, I’m a Cali girl.
BUT, I grew up in the Bay.
And, if you’re from the Bay you’ll know there are definitely some preconceived notions about L.A.
And… vice versa. OOF. It felt big.🤭

I didn’t even know how to BEGIN.
The loop in my head was constant…
Where do I start?
How do I start?
How do I move towards my dream of being an actor?🤔
