Today we honor Rev. Jesse Jackson.

His life was a testament to disciplined courage, public faith, and organized love.

He did not wait for perfect conditions.
He built power in community.

May we carry forward what he modeled.
Rest well, Reverend. 🖤

Last week’s news of the wrongfull conviction and ex*****on of Marcellus Williams not only breaks our heart, but brings light to a larger systemic issue that is the death penalty.

One thing’s forsure and two things are for certain: A humane society cannot exist whilst the death penalty is still legal and being utilized to suppress justice in many cases. The death penalty has for decades, posed a significant threat to innocent people, but especially innocent Black people. While Marcellus Williams was the most recent victim, many Black people have and continue to be impacted by this unjust system. We’re calling for equal justice and the abolishment of the death penalty!

We already knew that was that girl, and she continues to show us exactly why she has that title. Pushing through adversity, even with an injury, she still managed to come out on top.

Yesterday, she made history as the the most decorated Olympic medalist in USA Gymnastics history🥇🖤 Congratulations, Simone!

Protecting Black women should not be revolutionary—it should be a standard. PERIOD.

Our hearts are heavy with Sonya Massey’s family and friends during this tragic time 🖤🙏🏽. This is our collective call to action. We must stand united, committed to fighting for change and justice. We demand and for all the lives stolen by police violence. The time for action is now.
