Last week’s news of the wrongfull conviction and ex*****on of Marcellus Williams not only breaks our heart, but brings light to a larger systemic issue that is the death penalty.

One thing’s forsure and two things are for certain: A humane society cannot exist whilst the death penalty is still legal and being utilized to suppress justice in many cases. The death penalty has for decades, posed a significant threat to innocent people, but especially innocent Black people. While Marcellus Williams was the most recent victim, many Black people have and continue to be impacted by this unjust system. We’re calling for equal justice and the abolishment of the death penalty!

Our hearts are heavy with Sonya Massey’s family and friends during this tragic time 🖤🙏🏽. This is our collective call to action. We must stand united, committed to fighting for change and justice. We demand and for all the lives stolen by police violence. The time for action is now.

Last night, she surpassed ’s all-time WNBA record for most consecutive double-doubles, making this her 13th in a row. Big congratulations, Angel — your name is now part of history! 📚🏀 Let the marathon continue 🏁

Faith, Justice & Proclaiming the Gospel: Intersection of Sports, Social Justice & Entrepreneurship

Viewers are invited on a journey through my multifaceted tapestry of experiences, which have shaped my conviction to establish PLUS ONE society—an agency dedicated to amplifying social justice movements, particularly those resonating within Black communities. Through engaging visuals and thought-provoking questions, viewers gain insights into the power of to transcend boundaries and positive change, as well as the imperative to for within the framework.

While we recognize that our work is but a small part of a larger divine plan, we approach our efforts with humility, grace, and reverence. However, we remain bold in our pursuit of justice, unafraid to challenge systems of oppression and confront injustices head-on, while fostering a spirit of hope and . It is with profound sorrow, we lament the loss of Michael Latt, a genuine advocate, colleague, and friend who stood by my side on the steps of the CA State Capitol, in prison yards across Central Valley, at Black churches in Harlem and in the streets of Chicago and LA. Latt was a brother in the fight for justice, intentionally creating opportunities to amplify marginalized voices and uplift communities. His light radiated throughout our industry and generated massive impact in the hearts and minds of all those he encountered.

I will hold close the memories of our strategy sessions, historic productions, community celebrations and the ever-present debate about the credibility of your Top 5 R&B Singers of all time (cue Ginuwine)! Each of these experiences created a symphony of laughter, camaraderie, and the beautiful rhythm that was our friendship. While your physical presence is no longer with us, the echoes of our shared moments will forever live in my heart.
