Dear reader, make haste - there is still time to order Valentine’s Day prints as a gift to your love (or yourself).

The paper pictured is my new lux smooth matte fine art archival paper. It is thick, gives some really rich blacks and intense colors. A treat for your walls and the perfect way to cherish your heirloom photos for generations to come.

Raise your hand if you are also a Bridgerton Fan because this couple is serving some serious Daphne and The Duke vibes 🔥🔥. From a wedding a few years ago that rivals the regency era designed by the incomparable at .

13 years in business as SDK Photo summed up nicely by this montage of 13 years of Sophie!

I’m feeling extremely thankful for all the wonderful families and businesses who I have trusted me over the last 13 years to record their big milestones and little moments. I really appreciate your ongoing support of my small business. 🥰

As pictured here I’ve documented kids from birth through Bat Mitzvah - excited to one day cover all the way through wedding and on to the the next generation!

At home in your space has got to be one of my favorite venues for family photos. It’s where your family is the most comfortable and documents this moment in your lives. I love looking around to scope out spots and yes, I will probably open every single window shade and door to let the natural light shine in. And it sure doesn’t hurt to have a kitchen as beautifully styled as this one by home chef .

Spotted, Flight of the Heart in the wild... Photos by SDK Photo & Design

Same expression eleven years later.
As I photographed Goldie becoming a Bat Mitzvah I took this portrait of her and instantly had a mental flash to a striking image that I had taken of her when she was a toddler at our first family shoot. (Because that's the crazy way my visual memory bank works - I somehow have space in my brain for every image I've taken in 12 years in business!) So I pulled out my old hard drive and found the photo I was visualizing... and I was totally correct - it's in her eyes.
This sums up the honor I feel to get to document families year after year as they grow. It's more than just a record of time - it's capturing the personalities - the changes over time but perhaps even more so, they way things stay the same.
Thank you to all my lovely family of clients who trust me to be your family archivists and create a heirloom record for you.
