Job Description:
CheckerProp is a growing real estate development and investment company; we own, develop, and
manage industrial and office buildings. Located in Laguna Beach, CheckerProp has a small team, and operates in a casual and open environment. We are seeking a Controller with an interest in real estate, to oversee all financial operations.

Our ideal candidate has strong financial and leadership skills, an impeccable eye for detail, and is able to
collaborate with a small team. This is a full-time role that entails working with the President, Portfolio
Manager, and CFO.

The Controller is responsible for all Accounting Functions and Operations, Procedures, and Software for
the Company, including:
• Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Maintain and improve accounting policies, processes, and compliance to ensure timely and
• accurate financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
• Providing financial analysis for senior management, as well as taking the lead on NNN
• reconciliations
• Management of Cash, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and account reconciliations.
• Preparation of the monthly financial reporting package.

Our ideal candidate will
• Have at least 8 – 10 years of progressive accounting experience; previous experience in real estate
• development, management, or construction is a plus.
• Have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting. CPA certification is a plus, but not required.
• Have prior/current supervisory experience.
• Have prior/current experience and proficiency in QuickBooks.
• Have competency with MS office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Must have expertise in Excel.
• Possess a high emotional EQ and have the flexibility to work in a dynamic, start-up-like
• environment, capable to scale to need and pivot quickly.
• Be hands-on, willing to jump into transactional processing as needed.
• Be able to communicate – verbal and written.
• Be flexible and willing to work on a variety of assignments.

• Compensation: $140,000 - $180,000 per annum

Tire Capital is an investment company focused on bringing new technology and business model

of tire-related e-commerce, trading, and wholesale businesses and are poised for rapid expansion in

We are currently seeking an ambitious controller for our ecommerce division, which sells both B2B
and B2C from third party and company owned inventory. An ideal candidate has prior experience
managing asset based lending facilities, an obsession for identifying and pursuing anomalies, and the
capability to project manage operational improvements. Given the speed at which we work, this role
will be in-person and based out of our headquarters in Hermosa Beach, however this is negotiable for
the right candidate.
Responsibilities will include:
● Ensure books are closed by the 20th of each month
● Prepare monthly consolidated group P&L and Balance Sheet by 30th of each month
● Responsible for group-wide cash flow planning
● Reviewing and implementing processes and technology to improve key accounting functions
● Oversee accruals, amortizations, intercompany transactions, and balance sheet
reconciliations
● Oversight of all tax filings and audits
● Submit monthly/weekly borrowing bases for ABLs
