My key to great skin!
Starts with a great cleanser! Why? Because I think it's the most important step of my skincare routine. It is step 1--the part of my routine where I create that "blank" canvas for the rest of my skincare regime. It's the opportunity to wipe away any dirt, build-up, makeup, etc. It's the chance to give my skin a clean start to layer on the magical goodness for my skincare products to deeply pe*****te into my skin.
I have been using 's The Cure X Serum Soap to cleanse my skin for the past 2 weeks, and I'm truly amazed with this facial cleanser. For starters, this cleanser is in a bar form, which I normally wouldn't reach for, but since my previous experience with Herbal Face Food's products were so good, I knew I had to check this one out too. Unlike traditional bar soaps, this one doesn't dry out my skin and give me that perfect canvas to layer the rest of my skincare routine.
The best part is that I'm already seeing the benefits of incorporating The Cure X Serum Soap in my regime. I've been testing new skincare goodies the past few months that haven't been working for my skin. But when I started using this soap, my skin really started to turn around for the better--less dryness, less redness, and less reactions (and I guess stopping those products also helped).
All in all, The Cure X Serum Soap is such a good investment imho. In a bar form, it'll last longer with proper storage care (don't let it sit in water) and no need to worry about using it by a certain date. - Valentine's Day Instant Mani
So has press-on nails!! I'm all about it for many reasons.
First of all, look at this Valentine's Day inspired nail design--and I don't need to recreate it. Second, they come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and finishes--so I can instantly change from my everyday mani to one that's, maybe, more fierce. Third, it doesn't cost an arm and a leg--for $10 it's still less than going to the salon. The fourth reason, broken nails are no longer an issue--I can seriously pop on a nail and repaint accordingly to match the rest of my nails. Which brings me to number 5, these pressies can easily be reshaped and repainted on--they're like real but fake. And lastly, these are made of 94% post-consumer recycled materials.
Btw, their press-on nails can also be found at Target in-store and online and of course on the Olive and June website (affiliate link in bio). Unfortunately, my local one is currently oos on all instant mani styles. They're a great deal + no polish drying time if y'all are in a rush for a last minute v-day mani.

- Sands Hotel & Spa
It was a staycation kinda summer! Last month, we beat the LA heat with the Palm Springs heat. It was an eventful + spontaneous 24hr trip. We stayed at this conspicuous boutique called Sands Hotel & Spa, a very instagram friendly place.
We wanted to enjoy a place where there was a pool, good drinks, good food, and not very crowded. And it lived up to everything and more. Btw, this hotel catered only to adults, so no kids allowed. My first time really experiencing that, and it's a real winner in my books.
The pool was great, except for one thing. I got stuck by a bee that was hanging on to its dear life in the water. That ish hurt, but at least I know I'm not allergic to bees.
Their restaurant, The Pink Cabana, is picturesque, and a hot spot for bachelorette events. The food had a Moroccan flair to it, so delish. But my favorite menu was probably from Breakfast--their Chorizo Shakshuka was just too good. The drinks were just a good and well crafted. We drank all day, but paced ourselves appropriately.
Unfortunately, we did not check out the spa. But it's aiight, there's always next time. Btw, fun fact: I love boutique hotels where we can just stay there and enjoy the amenities.

- Wine Wedding Nails
The bf and I were honored to attend his elementary school (+ beyond) friend's wedding last weekend. Yes, they still keep in touch, as he was a groomsman. It was at wine country, it was safe, and it was beautiful.
Of course, my nails were did--with a classic red, CV from (and it's probs my all-time favorite nail polish color from them). Cheers to the newlyweds once again!!!

OK, so I guess school's in session again (cause I'm feeling it via the back-to-normal LA traffic). Where did the Summer go?!? So on this last Monday of August, here is my last O&J Summer 2021 Mani (until I await on my Fall 2021 Collection to arrive).
I'm going full on neon highlighter colors with:
- Orange Wedge
- Lemony Lemon
- Lime Fizz
I'm still channeling Fall 2021's "back to school" theme.
