Let’s talk about services I refer to other professionals.

I offer a wide range of business, tax, bookkeeping and financial education services. And part of providing good service is recognizing when another professional is the right person for the job. 🤝

Services I refer to other professionals:

🛂 Immigration services

🛡️ Insurance services — I can, however, assist with workers’ compensation payroll reports through QuickBooks.

⚖️ Legal services

📈 Investment planning & investment advice — this is an area I leave to Certified Financial Planners and other properly licensed professionals.

✍️ Notary services

🏠 Real estate & mortgage services

Over the years, I’ve built a nice-sized network of professionals, and I continue to grow it. 🌱

Just yesterday, I reconnected with a Certified Financial Planner and had a great conversation. I enjoy maintaining relationships with professionals in different fields so I have resources available when my clients need something outside my area of practice.

I may not personally provide every service, but I can still help you find the right direction. 💙

💻 One size does not fit all!

Paychex, a payroll services company, came to visit today. 😊

One thing I’ve learned from working with different business software and applications is that one solution does not fit every business.

Every business has different needs, different employees, different budgets, and different ways of operating.

That’s why I’m willing to work alongside other professionals and explore different programs to help my clients find what works best for their business. 🤝

I don’t believe in making the client fit the software.
The software should fit the client. 💙

💳💙 Out of all the services I offer, which one is my favorite?

Credit Counseling. Hands down. 😊

A good credit counseling session isn’t just about pulling a credit report and looking at a score.

We look at the bigger picture:

💰 Income
🧾 Expenses
💳 Debt & credit
🎯 Financial priorities
⏰ And even how you’re using your time

Because somewhere along the way, you often realize something important:

It’s not only your money that needs a plan—your time and priorities do too.

Sometimes improving your finances means learning when to say yes, when to say no, what can wait, and what really deserves your attention.

💡 Don’t just learn to manage your money. Learn to manage your time and priorities, too.

And this one goes way back for me…

Reviewing credit reports since 1999. 😁💳

💻📚 A little professional update…

I’ve recently started working alongside an Enrolled Agent who is preparing for retirement, and I’ll be gradually taking on additional work as part of that transition.

For me, the exciting part isn’t simply having more work—it’s the experience that comes with it. 🧠✨

More businesses. More tax situations. More questions to research. More opportunities to learn.

And since I actually enjoy sharing the interesting things I learn along the way 🤓, some of that knowledge will probably make its way onto this page too.

So if you notice me talking a little more about California taxes, businesses, bookkeeping and the interesting situations that cross my desk, now you know why. 🌴🐻💻

More experience → more learning → more to share. 📚✨

Of course, client information always stays private. 🔐

💻✨ It’s Saturday… and I get to work today! Because when you own a business, somehow there’s always something that can be done. 😂

I started my morning with a little computer maintenance—Windows updates, cleaning up my computer, updating a few programs and making sure everything is running smoothly. 🖥️

Then came emails and text messages because… responding is a nice thing to do. 😊📱

Most days, I make myself available to my clients by phone from 8 AM–8 PM. I know what it feels like when you suddenly have that burning accounting or business question and just need an answer. 🔥🤓

I may not always be able to stop and work on the actual project right then, but I can usually respond, answer a quick question, or at least get an appointment scheduled.

And now? Back at my desk—checking printer ink 🖨️, stocking supplies 📦, tidying up and getting everything ready for the weeks ahead.

Not every productive business day is about doing client work.

Sometimes it’s simply taking care of the business that takes care of the clients. 💙

💙 A little thank you to all of my clients!

Thank you for your business and for continuing to trust me with your taxes, books and businesses. 💻📚

One of the things I’ve been investing my hard-earned money in lately is my health and fitness. 💪🌿 And yes… I’ve purchased more workout toys than I probably need. 😂

Now that I’m also a Certified Personal Trainer, don’t be surprised if our tax or bookkeeping conversation ends with:

💧 Are you drinking enough water?
😴 Are you getting enough sleep?
🚶‍♀️ Are you taking care of yourself?

You came to talk about taxes and somehow left with a hydration reminder. 😂

I want your business to be healthy…but I want YOU healthy too. 💙

And most importantly—thank you for helping me invest in mine. 🌿

☀️🐻 California taxes? I’m ready for you. 😁📚

Yesterday, I officially completed my annual tax education and registered with the California Tax Education Council (CTEC), which means I’m getting prepared for the 2026 tax return filing season in 2027. ✔️

And as always, my focus continues to be California Business Taxes. 🌴

I’m California born and raised, and California has always been at the heart of my practice. And honestly… I wouldn’t have it any other way. 💛

California has one of the more complex state tax environments in the country. Between the FTB, CDTFA, payroll requirements, LLCs, corporations, pass-through entities, sales tax and all of California’s special rules… there is PLENTY to keep a tax nerd entertained. 🤓📚💻

Rather than trying to know a little about every state, I’ve chosen to go deeper into California and continue sharpening the specialty I’ve been building for years.

📍 California born.
📚 California educated.
💼 Working with California businesses.
🐻 And getting dangerously good at California taxes.

2026 tax year… I’m getting ready for you. 💻✨

💼✨ New business cards are in the works!

I’m currently updating my business cards to include my new title, Enrolled Agent, with the help of my friend Oliva, who is a Graphic Designer. 💕🎨

While working on them, I thought I’d share a little marketing tip that has worked really well for me over the years.

Back in 2013, I read a little book called Word of Mouth. It’s a great little book, and it got me thinking about the simple ways people remember and refer businesses.

📲 One thing I started doing:

When I speak with someone new over the phone—or if it’s been a while since we last connected—I’ll often text them a picture of my business card.

Why?

1️⃣ It puts a face/business to the conversation. They know who they’re talking to and it makes the interaction feel a little more personal.

2️⃣ They can keep me in mind. If they—or someone they know—ever needs my services, my information is already sitting in their phone.

3️⃣ My contact information is easy to find. No searching through old emails or trying to remember my number. They can simply go back to our text conversation. 📱

It’s such a small thing, but it has worked surprisingly well for me.

Sometimes good marketing isn’t complicated—it’s simply making it easy for people to remember you. 💡
