Everyone's talking about what AI is doing to the PM role. Most of it is either panic or cheerleading. Neither is particularly useful.

This is what's happening: the tasks that used to eat your calendar (PRDs, research synthesis, meeting summaries) are getting automated. Don't think of it as a threat. It's the job finally making room for the work that matters.

A few things worth knowing:
🟢 AI is very good at sounding right when it's not. The judgment call (knowing which problems are worth solving) that's still yours.
🟢 In a flatter org, features shipped and PRDs written won't cut it. Your impact needs to be visible and articulable to leadership.
🟢 Customer empathy, cross-functional influence, strategic thinking: these are rising in value, not falling.

The future of product management isn't a smaller job. It's a better one.
